Where is located Hotel Centrale? Hotel Centrale is in Venezia Mestre in Piazzale Donatori 14, at 50 metres from the main square of Mestre: Piazza Ferretto. Near the Hotel you'll find at a few metres all what you will need: Restaurants, Pizzerias, Bars, Shopping Mall, Iperstore...

How should I do to arrive at the Hotel from “Marco Polo”?

 Where can I park the car ? Hotel Centrale is in the city center and so he has the big problems of all cities: he has not his own parking place. 
But Hotel Centrale has a conventioned PARK at 20 metres with a large underground parking place where you'll can park the park safetly. The PARK has a parking man from 7a.m. to 11 p.m. watching at your car. 
From 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. it will be closed but the Hotel has the keys to enter the Park if there's anything urgent!!! .
Parking place is normally free for our Guest but sometines in high season we'll charge 5 € per night.

ABOUT THE HOTEL

Does price include breakfast? Sure, the price includes buffet breakfast in the morning from 7 to 10. If you’re a couple you can also ask room service phoning the reception at number 9. . 

Does the room have private services? Sure, all rooms have: private bath (shower or tub), tv color .

Is the room conditioned? Sure, all rooms are conditioned .

Do you have parking place? Sure, Hotel Centrale has a conventioned private garage at 20 metres.

Do you have an Internet Point? Yes, it works 24h a day.

Do the room have private bar in the room? No. There's no bar in the room. The bar is downstair at 10 metres.

What is check-out time? Check-out time is within 11.30 of departure day.

Where can we put our lagguage? You can leave your laguagge at the desk. The service is free.

Can we live the car in the parking while we are in Venice? Yes, if you have checked out you can take the car in the evening. Please advice our Reception.

Do you have International TV news ? Yes, we have satellite tv with 4 Foreign channels: CNN (USA and England); ZDF (German); TV5 (French) and TVe (Spanish). If you need other channel visible on Astra Sat you can ask at the reception if they change one of the other channels.

And my dog ? Cat? No problem. If you have any pets you can take them into the Hotel but all responsabilities of them is yours.

OTHER HOTEL F.A.Q.

Do you have a laundry service? Yes. The service is not offered directly in Hotel but from a private laundry service. If you want there’s also a self laundry (American style) at 500 metres from the Hotel.

How can i phone in Italy? From your room dial 0 for the outside line and than the Italian city code (i.e. 041 for Venice) and the phone number.

How can I phone abroad? From your room dial 0 for the outside line and than the State code (i.e. 0049 Germany) and the phone number.

Can I phone from the street? Yes. In Italy there’re many public phones. You’ve to buy a prepaied magnetic card (carta telefonica). It costs from 2,60 € to 5,16 €. 

Where can i buy something for my cleaning or something to eat? At 20 metres there's a iperstore called STANDA. All kind of shops you want are in the Hotel Centrale area.

Where can i rent a car? In Hotel you'll find information about Rent a Car.

TRANSPORT      

How can I get into Venice? By bus . At 50 metres from our Hotel there’s a bus stop. Every 10 minutes a bus will take you direct in Venezia Piazzale Roma. Line VENEZIA or 7.

How long do i wait for the bus ? There’s a bus to Venice every 10 minutes.

How far is Venice? 7 km or 10 minutes   by bus. 

At what time   is running last bus from Venice? At about 12 p.m. there’s last bus.

And if i’ll get back later ? You have to reach Piazzale Roma and go back to Mestre by bus (line N1 or N2). Bus service runs all night long till Mestre Downtown.

How much does it cost? Bus is a public service and costs just a little more than an Italian expresso. (0,77 €).

Do they sell tickets for more days? Yes. There are tickets for all buses and vaporettoes for 1, 3 and 7 days. They are cheaper than paying every time the single trip. Just have a look at the link on the Home page: “Transport”.

And Taxi services ? No problem. The Hotel porter will call you a taxi (on demand). It will take about 10 minutes to arrive.

How much does a taxi cost? Taxi is a private service and costs much more than a pubblic one.

Does taxi run during the night? Yes. From 10 p.m to 7 a.m. there’s an automatic taxi service. If you have to leave in the early morning is better to book a taxi and to fix the arrival time.

How long does a taxi take to…? Approsimatively are:

Is it safe to walk in Venice? Sure. Venice is a calm town. Just pay attention in the pubblic transport. 

Is it safe also durino the night? Venice by night is very “romantic” . Normally nothing happens.

I need a turist guide for myself. Sorry. We are not able to find one for you. Please ask at APT of Venice.

I’d like to make a Gondola tour. Pay attention. We normally suggest to go and ask about a Cooperativa Gondole (State control). Medium price is about 50-100 mila lire per person for a  20-30 minuti (25-50 €) round trip.

I’d like to take a bath at Venice sea. Well. Take vaporetto line to Lido di Venezia and in 40 minutes you’ll find yourself on the beach. There are many services offered from many local operators.

I’d like to buy some gifts at Murano. No problem. Take a vaporetto from Piazzale Roma or from Ferrovia (Railway Station) and in 20 minutes you’ll be at Murano. If you want ask at the desk about some conventioned shops.

I’d like to make the Venician island tour. The trip will take you about 1 day. You can do it privately (due pubblic boats) or privately (due tour organizations) I suggest you to do it privately and to stop eating some good fish at Burano.

Which are the most popular venetian islands? They are: Murano for the glass production and glass factories; Burano famours for the fishing people and the “merletto” and Torcello for its gotich basilic. 

Are there other islands in Venice?  Of course. Venice Laguna has about some hundreds of island but the most of them are private. 

WEATHER AND WEATHER FORECAST 

Which is the best period for visiting Venice? All the year is nice to visit Venice and venice people. Remember that in Venice are living 30.000 people and working about 50.000 every day.

In which period can i find fog? Fog appears from October to February. But is not so frequent as in the past.

In which period can i find “high water” (“acqua alta”)? Acqua alta is the most serious problem of Venice. The period in which acqua alta is more frequent is from October to December.
